Sail Training International charity serving on maritime training, history and environment since 1956 will be holding its annual meeting in İstanbul on 19-21 November 2009.

The charity aiming developing and education of young people through making an organisation for tall ships in world water will hold this meeting in one of coastal towns to be visited in 2010.  Through selection of İstanbul, the European Capital of Culture in 2010, as a venue is also important for presentation of our city to the participation of about 400 delegates worldwide. The Annual Meeting of STI will be held in Sheraton İstanbul Ataköy Hotel.

In addition, an International Youth Forum will be held in İstanbul in the Concordia school ship on November 19.  The S.V. Concordia visiting our city for this purpose is a design and built of 1992.  It is an A class tall ship in a length of 57.5 m offers training to its International-Class Afloat students of West Island Collage, Canada.
